About the Author:
Poppy Inkwell was born in the Philippines in 1970 and immigrated to Australia as a toddler. She spent a year as an exchange student in Japan, and graduated from the University of Sydney with a bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies. She has worked as a radio DJ, an interpreter, and as a public relations manager for rock bands and performance artists. Curious about Islam, she lived and taught in English in Brunei for nearly 15 years before becoming a writer. Poppy lives with her husband and two of her five children. She has sky-dived once.
